Cavern Diving Course

The “Cavern Diver” course is a specialist training program. Its for divers who want to expand their skills and start the adventure of safely exploring underwater caves. Exploring the underwater world within the limits of sunlight.

Programs Focus

This program focuses on the key aspects of cavern diving. Maximum depths of 30 meters, where natural light is still present – that is, within the so-called daylight zone.

Aims of Our Cavern Diving Course

The Cavern program is for experienced divers. Those wishing to gain the knowledge and skills to dive safely in cave areas. Areas with limited sunlight and serves as an introduction to more advanced cave diving.

Not Cave Diving

The course does not lead to full cave diving qualifications. It requires further education and training, but provides a strong foundation in these areas.

Cavern Diving Course

We will develop your diving skills during our cavern diving course during the following:

  • 5h of theory
  • 3 Days – 6 dives

Who is our cavern diving course for?

The certified diver who has interest in moving forward with overhead environment diving. Those looking to expanding their diving techniques, capabilities, and more!

Course requirements

  • Minimum diver age is 18 years.
  • Each candidate must have the following qualifications:
  • Advanced Open Water Diver
  • Logged 25 dives.
  • Before participating in the course, you need to complete a medical questionnaire and registration form

How does this benefit you?

Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in cavern diving activities. They can do this without direct supervision so long as they follow following:

  • The diving activities approximate those of training
  • Planned dives do not exceed diver’s current certification level
  • Penetration is limited to the 1/6th if using doubles to a maximum depth of 30 metres
  • Penetration is limited to 60 linear metres/200 linear feet from the surface
  • You must use proper cavern diving equipment
  • Maintain a continuous guideline
  • No restrictions or areas that are too small for 2 divers to swim side by side
  • Safety stops as appropriate or necessary
