TDI Intro to Tech
The course is a technical training program designed to improve the diving skills of individuals diving with Twinset or Sidemount configurations. The course focuses on refining underwater movement techniques, teamwork, buoyancy control, and maintaining proper balance, laying the foundation for more advanced technical training such as Deco Procedures or Overhead courses.
Course Goals of TDI Intro to Tech:
- Enhancing Buoyancy Control – the ability to maintain a stable position in the water column without moving hands or feet.
- Improving Trim – maintaining a horizontal position during descent, bottom time, and ascent.
- No-silting Propulsion Techniques – learning techniques such as frog kick, modified frog kick, modified flutter kick, and backward kick, which allow for efficient movement and minimal disturbance underwater.
- Teamwork – developing skills for diving with a buddy or a larger team, including exercises for gas sharing and responding to unforeseen situations.
- Emergency Drills – such as regulator exchange, regulator recovery, partial mask flooding and clearing with minimal air loss, mask removal and clearing.
- Coordinated Emergency Responses – including performing an S-drill and deploying surface marker buoys or lift bags.
- Technical Configuration Handling – for divers using twin cylinders, learning valve drills and equipment management.
Course Program:
- Duration: 3 days, 6 dives (90 minutes each).
- Course Content: The course not only covers technical skills but also teamwork and response to emergency situations.

Best course I could have done
Improved my buoyancy reduced unnecessary movement which caused more fatigue during the dive so I can spend more time underwater without feeling tired and look great holding trim throughout the dive which causes less effort also.
