Techniques for Night Diving

The aim of the course is to familiarise students with specific procedures and techniques of night diving. We’ll teach you to deal with potential hazards that you experience during a night dive and limited visibility.

Completing the Course

After completing the course students will have the necessary knowledge about specific diving techniques for night diving. We’ll teach you to navigation, partner diving procedures, underwater communication during night dive and limited visibility.

Teaching methods

We will develop your skills during the following:

  • 2 h in the classroom
  • 3 dives in open water (included one night dive and one at 30 meters depth)

Who is this course for?

The Night diver and limited visibility course is for those divers who accomplished OWSD course. For those divers who would like to improve diving methods and as well discover more while under the water.

Course requirements

Minimum qualification:

  • Open Water Sport Diver
  • Minimum age: 15 years (under 18s need parental or guardian consent)
  • Before participating in the course, you will be need to complete a medical questionnaire and registration form

  • Prevent a risk of night diving
  • Torch usage and light communication
  • Buddy contact & communications in limited visibility
  • Reaching a depth of 30 meters
