Our Twinset Diving Course

The Twinset Diving Course is for certified divers looking to take their diving skills to the next level. A twinset is a set of two cylinders, placed on the divers back. It provides a greater capacity for air and redundancy in case of equipment failure.

Developing Your Diving Skills

During the course, divers will learn how to properly set up and use a twinset configuration. As well as their buoyancy and trim skills, and practice gas management techniques. Divers will also learn emergency procedures and how to manage decompression obligations while diving with a twinset.

Skills and confidence

Upon completion of the Twinset diving course, divers will gain new skills and increased confidence. Improving their ability to dive deeper and longer. Ensuring a safer and more enjoyable diving experience.

Developing Your Diving

We will develop your skills during the following:

  • 2-3h theory in the classroom
  • 2 dives in open water

Who is this Twinset Diving Course for?

The Twinset Diving Course is perfect for those divers who want to dive using two cylinders on back-mount.

Course requirements

  • Minimum qualification: Open Water Sport Diver
  • Minimum 15 years old (under 18 need parents or guardian consent)
  • At least 15 recorded open water dives
  • Equipment:
  • Twinset (two equal sized cylinders connected together)
  • A wing with enough buoyancy to safely take the diver to the surface
  • Twinset regulators set.
  • Before participating in the course, you will need to complete a medical questionnaire and registration form

What do I learn?

The course provides the necessary information to:

  • Prepare a twin set for the planned dive
  • Perform a configuration check before planning a dive
  • Perform the planned descent, bottom phase and ascent dive
  • Perform gas shutdown and isolation procedures
  • Gas sharing skills
  • Demonstrate the techniques of fin handling and buoyancy associated with twin set diving
